A revived heart, produces good works.

A revived heart, produces good works.

For God to revive His works in our lives, He first of all needs to work on the condition of our heart.

Hosea 10:12 says; “I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love.

Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come shower righteousness upon you.” (NLT)

Whatever we receive from God, is not all that God can do for us, but rather all that our hearts can take/receive from Him.

No wonder Jesus in Matthew 13, used the Parable of the Farmer Scattering Seed as a typology for different heart conditions that we have.

So, it is expedient for us as believers to check the condition of our heart and pray the kind of prayer that David prayed in the book of Psalms 139,

with emphasis on verses 23 and 24 which says;

“23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

24 Points out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” (NLT)
