Engaging divine visitation through perseverance

Engaging divine visitation through perseverance

By PASTOR EDWARD NNANA on August 23, 2020

Hannah was in a state of bareness not necessarily because of what she’s done but because God shut her womb as seen in 1 Samuel 1 vs. 5a; and the Lord had closed her womb,” (NIV).

But despite her state of bareness and torment from Peninnah she still goes to Shiloh every year to worship God. She held on to God dearly in the place of prayers and God came through for her in a big way. 1st Samuel 1 vs. 20 says;So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, [b] saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.” (NIV).

God might not come through when you think you need him, but our God is never late; He always show up at the right time. All we need to do, is to trust in the Holy Spirit to help us to be able to wait on God despite our challenges. We must be ready to persevere if truly we will enjoy divine Visitation.

In today’s message, God’s servant told us three basic and fundamental things that we must do, if we are going to genuinely engage divine visitation through perseverance;

  1. Honestly pray Vs. 9,
  2. Make a commitment. Vs. 11,
  3. Resolve to leave the problem to God. Vs. 18.
