OVERCOMING SPIRITUAL ANOREXIA

By Rev. Dr. Adesina Abegunde on May 5, 2020

ANOREXIA is an eating disorder characterized by markedly reduced appetite or total aversion to food (medical term dictionary), while SPIRITUAL ANOREXIA is the loss of spiritual appetite or filled with spiritual junks.

Do you know that the same way an anorexia patient distaste or do not usually feel the urge to eat, so also is someone suffering from spiritual anorexia. He or She will not have the urge or longing for Spiritual things or matters that will aid his or her growth.

As Christians, what will keep you through the journey of destiny is your LONGING TO KNOW GOD as seen in 1 Peter 2:2, Psalm 42:1, Psalm 63:1-3.

Spiritual hunger is a basic requirement to see the hand of God; the more you long for Him, the more of His power you see. And the basic way to know God is through His word-THE BIBLE.

What you should hunger for, how to work on your hunger and many more are found in this audio;

    Thank you daddy, GOD BLESS YOU. my question is this, how do i overcome “spiritual attention deficit”? i mean when i am praying my mind just goes “off” and i forget i am praying…and start thinking of something else.
